Custom Natal Chart Astrology Jewelry by Akasha Astrology is not fad or junk jewelry. This is the jewelry of your life, and as such, it should retain it's beauty and wearability for many years to come. For precisely this reason, we do not use any junk components. The metal for our standard designs is either sterling silver (yes, it does tarnish, but you can polish it) or gold filled (indistinguishable from solid gold - will not tarnish, fade, or rub off like plating) with genuine gemstone or gem-quality glass beads. Karat gold components are available but must be custom quoted, at a higher price (not that much higher if there's not a lot of metal in the design, such as the five degree style).
No jewelry more personal and customized as ours is available, as far as we know. If you purchase similar-themed jewelry for a lower price, you get a "cookie cutter" design natal chart piece that has lower quality components and/or fewer design options, which limits the personalization of the finished product, and lessens the quality to a very large degree.
Face it - plastic letters, the majority of the beads being composed of pressed glass, or brass-plated happy face beads in the design do not make a quality piece of jewelry. You can point, click, and buy these for around $90 (more if you want to choose one gemstone as a background color, or have a toggle clasp or longer length), and You get what you pay for either way. One company actually tells you to guess at your birth time if you don't know it for sure! This is terrible astrology; the time of birth determines the Ascendant, and the location of all the house cusps. Missing information is preferable to incorrect information. In fact, "incorrect information" translates to "lie".
Our basic designs are a bit more expensive, but it's worth it for the features we provide. In our designs, each Zodiac Sign is represented by a different gemstone, selected by you, and is easily identified by the gemstone, rather than having to count beads to find each sign. Our colorful designs incorporate at least 12 gemstones, which creates a very unique look, and a more easily read chart.
You can choose many different styles for the overall look, the sizes of the planets, and lots of other options. You can pick your gemstones out first, but there is no sale until a personal telephone or email exchange takes place, because each chart is unique, and the chart rosary created from each one is equally unique. We absolutely delight in creating such unique and personally significant jewelry, and enjoy the personal exchange that causes the result to be so much more than a "point and click" experience, and the result is something that simply cannot be had anyplace else.
